Sudetenland (German administration) (1.10.1938 - 8.5.1945)

Currency: 1 M (Mark) = 100 Pf (Pfennig)

Transition period:
- Czechoslovak stamps and stationery (applying the old Czechoslovak rates but now domestic for Germany and international for Czechoslovakia) were permitted for franking until 18.10.1938 (in practice they were accepted approx. one week longer). Mixed frankings were officially forbidden but accepted by most post offices; the postage was calculated by using either the old Czechoslovak or the new German fees or even by combining them (conversion rate 1 Kc = 12 Pf).
